This requirement is for systems engineering, software engineering, integration, system testing and system logistics to implement enhancements to the current Ultra-High Frequency Military Satellite Communications (UHF MILSATCOM) system. Enhancements wil be built upon the existing UHF MILSATCOM infrastructure to provide users with new and improved capabilities when communicating over 5-kilhertz (5-kHz) and 25-kHz bandwidth channels operating in dedicated Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) or Demand Assigned Single Access (DASA) modes. Objectives of system enhancements include: UHF MILSATCOM baseband communications using open-systems standards, terminal systems with improved throughput and performance characteristics, and control and management systems that improve utilization of communications capacity, including the Joint MILSATCOM Network Integrated (JMINI) Control System. The contract performance is a base period of three years with two one year options for a total of five years.
