KACZMAREK, (215)697-9664 Contractor Engineering and Technical Services (CETS) in support of the following aircraft, aircraft weapons systems, airframes, associated equipment and/or other equipment as follows: 228U HARPOON Weapon Station, Missile Test Set and associated ground support equipment. The proposed procurement is for 3.1 man months of services as currently estimated by Naval Aviation Engineering Service Unit (NAESU). The proposed effort will commence on 29 Jan 96 and will run through 30 Apr. 1996. This effort will be covered by a new contract and/or a provisional extension to the existing contract. This period covers the Government's minimum needs for this period. The solicitation will contain specification for Contractor Field Service representative {CFS}. The primary place of performance is JMSDF Sasebo, Japan. The eventual contract action is for services which the the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Company under the authority of FAR 6-302.1. McDonnell Douglas is the only supplier of these services at this time. This firm is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only known source with the required technical and engineering expertise, ''in-plant'' support, and requisite data base to perform the required services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. SEE Note 22. In accordance with Note 22, interested parties should submit, within forty-five (45) days from the publication of this notice, specific factual data; including but not limited to: technical resumes, corporate management experience, and other pertinent information as so desired, to be used as an evaluation basis to determine competence to successfully perform the required services.
