Prototyping (CVP) involves the application of distributed modeling and
simulation throughout the entire life cycle of a system. It is an
essential tool for implementing effective Integrated Product and
Process Development teams that are geographically dispersed. CVP has
potential for significant cost and schedule reductions in complex
systems and it is also recognized in the Department of Defense (DoD) as
one of the enabling technologies for true acquisition reform. DoD
intend to use CVP to address affordability of future systems. Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0463 19951212\SP-0005.MSC)
