Z -- PRE-SOLICITATION - MAHAN HALL RENOVATIONS AT THE US NAVAL ACADEMY, ANNAPOLIS, MD SOL N62477-95-B-0656. Due 020896. Contact: (410) 293-3171. The project includes providing the following alterations to Mahan Hall; Renovation of the lower level will provide new dressing rooms, toilet rooms and relocation of existing electrical room. Stage alterations will include new rated doors, renovation to existing fire door and shutters, replacement of stage curtains and a new motorized stage rigging system. Auditorium alterations will include construction of a new sloped floor, including new carpeting, painting and auditorium seats. A new sound system will be provided and electrical services modified to accommodate the existing lighting system. The existing projection/sound booth at the north end of the auditorium will be removed and a new lighting platform constructed, including repairs to the existing ornamental plaster and window glazing replacement. Existing asbestos and lead paint must be addressed in all areas to be renovated. The Contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, equipment, materials and supervision necessary for a complete project. The estimate date for availability for this project is 9 January 1996. The estimated cost range for this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. There is a non-refundable charge of $25.00 for this solicitation payable by check or money order to Treasurer of the United States. (342)
