Z -- ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION FOR SUBSTATION 631 UPGRADE POC Contact Point, David Dale, (516)282-3199 This contract will be set aside for bidding by small businesses only. SIC Code 1731 applies. Work consists of installation of BNL supplied 15 kV indoor switchgear, 69 kV gas circuit breaker, and 69 kV - 13.8 kV 20 MVA transformer. Contractor to provide 69 kV air switches and tower supports, 15 kV feeders, battery system, power and control wiring system, and system test with start-up. Work shall be,,coordinated to be concurrent with building installation contractor. All work will be awarded on a single contract. Estimated construction cost is $250,000 to $500,000. Estimated construction time is 18 weeks. Bid documents wil be availabe on or about January 31, 1996. A 20% bid bond is required. Payment and performance bonds are required after contract award. Brookhaven is charging a non-refundable fee of $35.00 for bid documents. Personal checks made out to ''Brookhaven National Laboratory'' are acceptable. Checks may be sent immediately and bid packages will be mailed upon availability. Requests for bid packages received without proper payment will not be acknowledged. (0345)
