Space Operations (LMSO), a NASA Prime Contractor at Kennedy Space
Center, FL (KSC), seeks sources capable of providing Multilayer Printed
Circuit Board Prototyping Equipment capable of producing rigid
multilayer (1 to 10 layers) PCB's in an office environment. The unit
must fit into a 150 sq. ft. area, require no special plumbing or
ventilation and produce no hazardous waste. Unit must accept Gerber
data files from CAD layout systems and produce imaged and etched
printed circuit boards of up to 11 x 14 in size, up to 10 layers deep,
up to 1,000 holes and with options for copper weight on each
individual layer. Equipment must include automatic XY driller/router
capability of 1,500 holes per hour, machine pi insertion capability of
2,000 pins per hour and a dry-film soldermask capability for component
and solder sides of the PCB. Also included in this requirement are
installation/checkout, O&M training and consumable materials. This
synopsis is for the sole purpose of identifying prospective sources and
does not commit LMSO to make an award, nor to reimburse costs of data
