58 -- PURCHASE PORTABLE, HAND HELD RADIO SYSTEM POC Ms. Wendy L. Takeguchi 011-822-7914-8676. The Government intends to purchase Portable, Hand Held Radios, Repeaters, Digital Interface Units, Control Stations & Dispatchers. Must provide in-country/(Korea) warranty. Radios shall meet the following minimum characteristics. Operating bandwidth 8.5KHz, Channel separation 12.5KHz & affected operating frequency is 406-470MHz (UHF) and 138-174 MHz (VHF). Interoperable with existing on-hand analog and digital systems. Must be multi-mode and capable of operating wide band analog and digital narrowband. Frequency, bandwidth & channel separation shall be modifiable through software adjustments only. Shall have DES capability (not NSA), operate in DES mode while adhering to the 12.5 channel separation & 8.5Khz bandwidth. Operate in the Non-DES to DES and be able to switch and communicate in the clear (Non-DES to Non-DES). To ensure 100% compatibility with all existing radios, new radios must be fully interoperable in all modes with the existing Motorola radios: MT-500/H34BBU3144A, MT-1000/H44GUC5170A, MX-350/H44SXU3120, MX-360/H44SXU3120AN, Saber-1 Radios/H44YXN7139CN & Astro Saber Radios/H04SDC9XW5. Repeaters shall meet the following minimum characteristics; capable of supporting digital, analog and DES and Non-DES operations. Programmable spacing capability (12.5/25Khz). Software upgrade capability. At a minimum, each repeater must possess the ability to change frequencies, channel separation and bandwidth. Changes must be made with existing software, not hardware. This will ensure that necessary changes can be made in country, at the local level, and at no added expense to the government. Multiple power levels. Provide diagnostic testing. Provide local and wide area coverage. Dispatcher Control Console shall meet the following minimum characteristics; Multiple Base Station Control. Multiple Channel Access. Multiple Patching. Direct phone interconnect. Manual telephone interconnect. Multiple pre-programmed multi-selects. Self diagnostics. Digital interface units (DIU) shall meet the following minimum characteristics; DIU must be capable of operating in analog and digital modes. DIU must be capable of operating DES and Non-encrypted (clear). Full duplex operations & multi-key capability. Quantities and detailed specification will be provided in the solicitation. (346)
