66 -- FIELD INTENSITY ANALYZER SOL N00178-96-Q-3023 POC Katie Samulevich; Connie Gayle Fax No. (540) 653-6810 Telephone No. (540) 653-7765. This sources sought is being issued by the Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center to determine Industries' current capability to provide a commercial-off-the-shelf field intensity analyzer or an already developed field intensity analyzer with the following specifications: SPECIFICATIONS FOR FIELD INTENSITY ANALYZERS Frequency Band, 2-30 MHz; Digital frequency tuning, 10 kHz steps; Frequency tuning accuracy, 5 kHz; Preset frequency channels, 9 with memory keep alive; Antenna Probe, 40.5'' vertical whip; Dynamic range, .001v/m to 400v/m; Scale switching, automatic; Display items, frequency, MHz, channel no., volts/meter, battery voltage; Digital Display, 16 character, 2 line selectable backlighting. Selectable peak hold reading; Readout scales, analog 1-10vm X SF digital .001 - 1000 v/m; Accuracy, +/- 2dB calibration; Internal calibration, 5,15,25 MHz @ 2v/m with separate calibration adjustment for each frequency; Bench calibration, antenna simulator module calibrating bench data to antenna deck data at 2 v/m and 20 v/m; Battery life, 140 MA drain, 2.3 AH capacity; Battery charger, 110 VAC, internal, 100 ma rate external charger module, same rate; RFI immunity, 200 MHz-10,000 MHz, 10mw/cm2; Max Meter Size, 9'' x 6.75'' x 4.6''; Weight, 7 lbs; Exterior Battery Charger, 1.5'' x 3'' x 9''; Suitcase Nomenclature, 3120221; Suitcase Size, 15'' x 19'' x 8.5''; Suitcase Items, screwdriver, spare battery, antenna, antenna simulator, operational manual, radio compartment; Circuitry Protection, All boards conformally coated. The meter shall be capable of storing previously keyed-in frequency information after turned off. An external calibration port must be provided. The meter shall have an internal signal source which will output a known voltage at 5 MHz, 15 MHz, and 25 MHz frequencies. This source shall be capable of being switched internally to the antenna port to enable the meter to be checked by the operator in the field prior to use. The meter shall be furnished with a fixture which can be used in the laboratory environment to simulate an antenna. The fixture when connected to the meter will enable the meter to duplicate NM-25T fre field measurements up to 50 V/m by injecting a known signal source terminated into a 50 ohm load. The anticipated delivery is as follows: First production prototype five (5) months after turn-on. Production units shall be delivered at a rate of four (4) per month thereafter. A total of a quantity of 10 units are anticipated. Sources are encouraged to submit information for evaluation that clearly demonstrates that the above design specifications can be met and that an already developed item is available. This is not a request for proposal nor does the Government intend to pay for the requested information. Submit responses no later than 12 Jan 1996 to Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Attn: S13-1, Katie Samulevich, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5100. On fax to (540) 653-6810, Attn: Katie Samulevich. (0346)
