the Design of Fuel Systems Maintenance and Corrosion Control Hangar at
Reno/Tahoe International Airport, Reno, Nevada. Professional
Architect-Engineering Services are required to design a new
approximately 26,000 square foot Fuel Systems Maintenance And Corrosion
Control Hangar at the Reno/Tahoe International Airport, Nevada Air
National Guard, Reno, Nevada. Work includes the production of designs,
plans, drawings, estimates, and specifications as required to execute
the construction project and the conduct of fact finding studies,
surveys, investigations in support of design activities, and
construction supervision of project when required. The estimated
performance period for this project is approximately 212 days. Criteria
which will be the basis for firm selection are, in their order of
importance: (1) professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory
performance of required services; (2) specialized experience and
technical competence in the types of work required; (3) capacity to
accomplish the work in the required time; (4) past performance on
contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of
cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance
schedules; (5) location in general geographical area of the project and
knowledge of the locality of the project; (6) demonstrated success in
prescribing the use of recovered materials and achieving waste
reduction and energy efficiency in facility design; and (7) volume of
work previously awarded by the Department of Defense to the firm with
the object of affecting equitable distribution of contracts among
qualified Architectural-Engineering firms. A firm-fixed-price contract
is contemplated. Interested Architectural-Engineering firms must
ensure that current Standard Form (SF) 254 and 255s are received at the
address shown by 2:00 P.M. local time, on 30 Jan 96. This is not a
request for proposals as selection is based on qualifications. All
responsible sources may submit qualifications which will be considered.
