Description of content: The proposal is to ban registration of new vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight not more than 4 tonnes which are powered by diesel compression ignition engines. 7. Objective and rationale: Environmental Protection - to reduce the high ambient respirable suspended particulates (particulate matters) from diesel vehicle emissions in Hong Kong. 8.
