L -- PREDATOR UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE KU SATCOM VIDEO PROCESSING POC Contact, Julianne Taylor, Phone (703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-95-G-0135 with Loral Communication Systems for the supplies and services necessary to incorporate improvements to the Ku SATCOM video processing system on airborne and ground Ku SATCOM elements. Loral Communication Systems is the sole designer and developer of the MAE UAV Ku SATCOM system, and as such, is the only source with the technical expertise and data required to meet the government's needs in the required time frame. The statutory authority for these procurements is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source. See note No. 22 - NAVAIR Synopsis No. 40144-95. (0346)
