operates the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) under contract to
the Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking an industrial
sponsor/partner to provide research funding (approximately $150K) to
complete current efforts in the detection of lead poisoning by
detection of lead in blood. Ongoing research efforts rely upon resonant
laser ablation (RLA). After successful completion of this research, the
industrial sponsor will arrange for the manufacture of devices for
detecting lead that can be used in the marketplace, either by selling
instruments, or by providing analysis service. Lead poisoning is a
significant public health problem. Any company wishing to receive more
information concerning this opportunity must respond with a statement
of intent, describing the company's technical expertise, production
and marketing capabilities, financial resources, previous technology
transfer experience, and motivation for participating in this project.
This statement must be dated within 30 days from the date of this
notice. (347) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0010 19951214\A-0010.SOL)
