L -- OPERATIONAL FLIGHT TRAINER POC Contact, JIM KELLY, Phone (703)604-1920 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract for the competitive procurement of V-22 Operational Flight Trainers through the V-22 weapon system prime contractor, Bell-Boeing. Bell-Boeing will conduct a competition for the government among trainer industry sources for procurement of V-22 operational flight trainers. This effort will be acquired in two phases. Under phase 1, Bell-Boeing will conduct a full and open competition among trainer industry sources for the procurement of a V-22 operational flight trainer with an option to procure an additional V-22 operational flight trainer. Under phase 2, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and issue a contract to Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Suite 401, Crystal City Gateway One, 1235 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA 22202, for the procurement of a V-22 operational flight trainer with an option to procure an additional V-22 operational flight trainer. Under this contract action, Bell-Boeing will issue a subcontract to the winner of the competition conducted under phase 1, and will provide subcontract management effort. Bell-Boeing is the sole designer and producer of the V-22 aircraft and is the only firm capable of providing the requisite technical data to the subcontractor competitively selected to design, fabricate and deliver the aforementioned V-22 operational flight trainers.
