The contract is for 24-hour news service. This will include full text of all six english language news wires produced by Reuters in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Reuters Newswire service feeds into the National Maritime Intelligence Center's (NMIC) ELCSS database with complete coverage of up-to-the-minute interntional news. The ELCSS database is accessed by hundreds of analysts, collectors and library researchers throughout the NMIC to answer a wide variety (sometime urgent) and ad hoc critical maritime related questions. The contract will have one base year and four one-year options, plus an option for 6 month service under FAR Clause (52.217-8). The SIC Code for this procurement is 7383.
