58 -- IMPROVED (CHEMICAL AGENT) POINT DETECTION SYSTEM (IPDS) SOL N00024-96-R-4105 POC (02423G), Gail Nagle, (703) 602-0201. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure thirty two (32) Improved Detection Systems (IPDS), (3 with First Article Testing), Interim Support Spares, On-Board Spares, Technical Manual, Provisioning Technical Documentation, Provisioned Item Order and associated data. Three options for an additional quantity of up to 26, 30 and 28 IPDS's with Interim Support Spares and On-Board Spares, respectively, are included in the solicitation. Delivery of the IPDS will begin 10 months after contract award. In order to be eligible for the production award firms will be required to possess, prior to award, a license issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to manufacture, handle, store, dispose of and/or ship, Americium-241.
