The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Wang Federal, Inc. for continuing design, implementation and enhancements of existing trusted computer guard systems. The current systems use the Wang XTS-300 which is B3 rated. The FBI has developed software to interface the FBI's computer network with the XTS-300. A current ''TOP SECRET'' security clearance is required to perform the above mentioned work. Also, the system must be B3 rated for the FBI to implement it. Vendors able to meet the above requirements are invited to identify in writing their interest and capability by submitting a proposal to include technical capabilities, pricing and any other information which shows bona fide ability to meet this requirement within 45 days of this publication. If no affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that a comparable source more advantageous to the government is available, negotiations will take place with Wang Federal, Inc. on a sole-source basis.
