The Virginia National Guard proposes to contract for the construction of an F-16 Aircraft maintenance complex at the Virginia Air National Guard, Sandston, Virginia. The work consists of an addition of 2,900 SF sheet metal shop and alteration of approximately 20,200 SF of aircraft maintenance functions. The addition will be reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, masonry walls and built up roof. Alteration includes rearrangement of walls, extension of utilities, replace roof, siding, windows and hangar doors. Upgrade interior and exterior electrical service. Provide fire protection, utility connections, site improvements and paving. Asbestos removal is anticipated. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials required to perform the work in strict accordance with the contract documents. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The solicitation is not currently available. It is expected to be issued on or about 9 Jan 96. This procurement action is being issued unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered. A deposit for $80.00 (nonrefundable) per bid set is required.
