COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF DECEMBER 19,1995 PSA#1493THE 1996 MEETING OF THE IRIS SPECIALTY GROUP ON TARGETS, BACKGROUNDS
AND DISCRIMINATION will be held on January 30, 31 & February 1, 1996 at
the Sandia National Laboratories, Albuquerque, NM. The meeting will
highlight emerging capabilities to leverage physics-based target
signature and environment models, and related measurement data, to
extend the utility of large scale simulations. The program reflects the
continuing convergence of the communities engaged in tactically
oriented work on the one hand, and those doing work related to theater
ballistic missiles on the other. The sessions scheduled are: Keynote
papers on the role of High Fidelity Models in Warfighting Simulations;
Targets; Backgrounds; Discrimination; DSP and COBRA BRASS; JTAMS; and
ARES and multihyperspectral. The meeting is Classified, restricted to
U.S. Citizens which are DoD Contractors and/or DoD Government. The
meeting is administered by the Infrared Information Analysis Center
located at the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan, Ann Arbor,
