The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Asbestos abatement for 10 cable trays (varied length) in 500 feet of cable tunnel which is located between Power Plant 1 and Switchyard 1 at Fort Peck Dam, Montana. Work includes: removal of all loose asbestos fibers and dust from cable tunnel and encapsulation of all asbestos (transite) cable trays and phase barriers located in the cable tunnel. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work by 12 April 1996. Work must be performed during the outage period 30 March 1996 through 12 April 1996. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a January 8, 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
