PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Eglin AFB base has a requirement for construction of Additions to the Youth Center, Eglin AFB, FL. Bid opening date of 26 Feb 96 is only an estimated date. Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all operations in connection with construction of Additions to the Youth Center. In general, the work includes minor selective demolition and renovation of the existing Youth Center building and construction of a new building housing activity rooms and support facilities. The new building is approximately 24,000 square feet. Systems are steel structures, metal building systems, synthetic stucco, brick masonry, metal roofing, aluminum storefront and hollow metal doors and windows. Site work shall include asphalt paving, concrete sidewalks, sod, and irrigation system. Additive Item #1: Provide landscape package, as indicated. Additive Item #2: Provide masonry piers in conjunction with aluminum fence at south playground. Additive Item # 3: Provide paired and omni-directional partitions in lieu of accordion partitions. Estimated dollar range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business. Solicitation packages are available at a $20.00 charge. All requests must be submitted in writing.
