16 -- 43 F-14D AIRBORNE SELF-PROTECTION JAMMER EQUIPMENT RACKS SOL N00019-96-R-0014 DUE 012295 POC Contact, Kim Davis, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Smith Industries (Aerospace), Florham Park, New Jersey, for the production and delivery of forty-three F-14D Airborne Self-Protection Jammer (ASPJ) equipment racks to be installed in the F-14D aircraft. This procurement includes a basic requirement for twenty-one ASPJ equipment racks and one option for twenty-two additional racks and associated spares. This effort includes the fabrication, assembly, and testing of the ASPJ equipment in the F-14D. As the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the ASPJ support rack, Smith Industries, Aerospace, is the only known source available to provide the required effort in the required time-frame.
