Attn: Philip C. Pulver, 2000 Logston Blvd., Richland, Washington 99352 D -- DISTRIBUTION SOURCE FOR FACILITY ENERGY DECISION SYSTEM SOFTWARE
DUE 011296. POC Philip C. Pulver, 509-375-6787, Consultant. The
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is conducting a survey seeking to
identify potential licensees for the marketing, selling and
distribution of the Windows-based FEDS (Version 3:0) software product
developed for the Department of Energy; it operates on IBM-Compatible
PC's. Designed to serve the needs of building energy managers,
utilities and firms providing energy services, FEDS provides a
comprehensive and user-friendly method for quickly and accurately
identifying energy improvements that offer maximum savings. It enables
the user to assess energy efficiency and consumption, identify
retrofit opportunities, select minimum life cycle costs, determine
payback, and prioritize investments in energy efficiency projects for
multiple buildings and across several sites. Its analysis will allow
but not require detailed energy system information input, returning
detailed project-by-project technology selection and economic
information. It utilizes life cycle cost optimization, maintains
technology and fuel independence, and incorporates peak tracking.
Overall, FEDS provides an effective method for targeting the most
promising building and end-use retrofit opportunities, expeditiously
estimating capital investment requirements and determining potential
energy and cost savings. Interested and qualified firms should respond
in writing, postmarked no later than January 12, 1996. (352) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0029 19951219\D-0005.SOL)
