M -- OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF BASE SUPPLY, TRANSPORTATION AND CONTRACT REPAIR SOL F04693-96-R0013 POC Johnnie Holloway, Contract Specialist, 310-363-2188, Mel Wright, Contrating Officer, 310-363-5144. Base Logistics: The Government intends to extend current contract F04693-92-C0001 so as to provide uninterrupted services while reprocurement of a follow-on contract is in progress. The contractor will provide supply, transportation, and office equipment maintenance services to Los Angeles AFB, Fort MacArthur and over 100 DOD units located in the greater Los Angeles area. The contractor will be responsible for developing and programming material, manpower and equipment and allocating the necessary funds required to support base operations and special projects. Base supply operation entails the requisition, purchase, receipt, storage, control, issue, shipment, disposition, identification, and accounting for supplies and equipment ordered by base units and all other DOD activities in the Los Angeles area. Base transportation involves the operation and maintenance of Government vehicles to support the transportation requirements of users for all activities (i.e., LAX flightline operations, protocol, movement of supplies/equipment). Office equipment maintenance services provides for the in-house repair of small office machines (typewriters), safes and furniture. Also, the contractor must process work orders via commercial vendors for the repair of large office equipment. Period of performance will begin 01 April 1996 for basic period of six months to fulfill an urgent need. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. No telephone inquiries.
