The Naval Air Warfare Center AIrcraft Division has a competitive requirement for one centrifugal air compressor. The unit shall be brand name or equal to Ingersoll-Rand type 2CU40M2. Salient characteristics are: 1000 horsepower motor to drive a centrifugal air compressor with 4050 cfm flow capacity. Inlet pressure 14.1 psia, inlet temperature 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Discharge pressure 125 psia at 3600 RPM rated speed. 2300 volt, 3 phase, 60 Hz, 2 stage, 1.15 SF drive motor. The unit shall be water cooled with cooling flow rate of 190 gpm and CTW inlet of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The compressor and motor shall be mounted on a continuous welded steel baseplate. The unit shall contain automatic bypass piping and blow-off valve with bypass sound silencer, 10 micron full flow oil filter. The dimensions of the unit shall not exceed 13 feet in length and 6 feet in width. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency.
