DAHA36) The USPFO for Pennsylvania intends to obtain Target Mechanisms
and Control Systems for two (2) 300 meter Automated Record Fire Rifle
Range, to support Marksmanship training and qualification at Fort
Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA. The automated record fire range target
system shall consist of a group of pop-up infantry target
mechanisms(112 each range system), a computer based range controller
and all necessary cables and accessories required. The model of
mechanisms required under this solicitation shall presently be in use
by the U.S. Army or U.S. Marine Corps and must currently be in
production. Unfielded prototypes are NOT acceptable. The Infantry
Target Mechanism (ITM) shall be an electro-mechanical actuator capable
of raising and lowering pop up silhouette targets, and shall be
remotely controlled ( Caswell Model AA8 or Equal). The Firing Range
Controller (FRC) a master control shall be furnished to provide manual
and automatic (programmed) operation of the firing range and to
remotely command target expose/conceal, number of hits required to
''kill'' target, and hit attributes (Caswell Model Range Master 9000 or
equal). The Government will issue a firm fixed price supply contract.
The contractor shall provide operator's manual which includes proper
set up, operation, and maintenance. The contractor shall also provide
on site training consisting of proper set up operation, and maintenance
of the automated record fire range system. Delivery of the Target
Mechanisms and Controller shall not exceed 120 calendar days after
contract award. Requests for the solicitation package must be in
writing and received no less than 15 days prior to bid opening. Bid
opening will not be extended for approval of an equal. IFB will be
available no less than 15 calendar days after publication of this
notice. Bid Opening will be no less than 30 calendar days after
issuance of the IFB. Each business concern must include in their
request for the solicitation package their Federal tax ID number, a
statement as to their business size and their corporate status.
Corporate status means the concern's designation as a (1) sole
proprietorship, (2) partnership, or (3) other corporate entity.
Contractors responding to this notice without appropriate information
