The Government intends to purchase the following equipment and parts on a specific make and model basis for an existing Digital Equipment Corporation system: 2.1 GB SCSI Disk with 3.5'' Carrier p/n RZ2B-VA, (15 ea); 4.3 GB SCSI Disk with 3.5'' Carrier p/n RZ29B-VA, (2 ea); and 128 MB ECC Memory for Alpha 2100 Server p/n MS451-DA (2 ea); BA350 Single height Storageworks shelf with power supply (BA35X-HA) and rackmount kit (BA35X-SB, (3 ea); Dual speed fan upgrade kit p/n BA35X-MJ (1 ea); K.SCSI channel cards p/n HSC9X-SX (3 ea); 1.6 GB 3.5'' DSSI ISE disk drive with installation p/n RF36E-AA, (1 ea); 20 GB Table top DLT SCSI Tape Drive with installation p/n TF87-TA, (1 ea); and 4MM Dat tape 8.0 GB Internal for Alphaserver with installation p/n TLZ07-LG, (1 ea). The above parts and equipment will be primarily used to support maintenance. The DEC equipment will be integrated into a VAX System Cluster which is primarily comprised of DEC VAX systems, servers, and peripherals. These systems utilize a common Open VMS operating system and DECnet network protocols, and employ existing VAX Cluster system software licenses for various software products such as the MTASS, ADA, and CMS-2 compilers, program development and evaluation tools, and ORACLE database development tools and production applications.
