93524-1185 70 -- TEST EVALUATION MODELING SIMULATION (TEMS) HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PU
RCHASE POC Edward Horvat, Contract Specialist, (805) 277-3900 x2246
Sally L. Raymond, Contracting Officer, (805) 277-3900 x2285. The Air
Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) is seeking sources for an anticipated
requirement to purchase a low cost, PC based, Cockpit Display System
(CDS). The CDS must design two and three-dimensional aircraft cockpit
displays using a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for rapid development.
The operating system must be MS-DOS. The CDS design software must be
able to view, select, copy, align, rotate, scale, group, move, and edit
within a user configurable coordinate system for cockpit simulation in
C or C++ languages. The GUI must also build objects out of arcs,
boxes, circles, chords, lines, polygons, tapes, text, or tickmarks. The
CDS software source code output must be compiled and used in a
real-time application to display four channel outputs at an update rate
of 60 Hz. The output of the cockpit displays should be configurable to
support a variety of display devices and communicate with a real-time
host computer via an ethernet link. Technical specifications must be
power PC based, dual output format at a minimum, 160 MIPS/80 MFLOPS,
100,000 vectors/second (vectors are 10 pixel), and 45,000 shaded
polygons/second (polygons are 100 pixel-filled). Hardware requirements
are a rackmount industrial computer system with 4 MB RAM, 20 slot
passive backplane, 14'' VGA color monitor, keyboard, 400 MB SCSI hard
drive, 3.5'' and 5.25'' floppy disc drives, 250 MB tape drive, graphic
processor circuit, and ethernet boards. If you have any questions or
literature, please contact Joe Piotrowski at 805-277-7676 or fax
805-277-6160. Firms posessing the capabilities to perform are invited
to respond to Joe Piotrowski at the above listed numbers with a copy to
the POC. Statements of capability shall be limited to 15 pages and
should include, as a minimum, (1) evidence of past experience; (2)
related projects and/or existing systems, etc; and (3) whether or not
they are a large business, small business, or small disadvantaged
business. Only written responses will be accepted. Industry
demonstrations may be held with interested sources who submit
responses. This synopsis is for information and planning purposs only
and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. It is not
to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does
not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis.
Telephone requests to be placed on the mailing list will not be
honored. (0353) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0249 19951220\70-0007.SOL)
