342-4825. The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division has a
requirement for CH-53D Non-Developmental Item Crashworthy
Troop/Passenger Seat Systems. The seat systems must include the seat,
restraint system, energy attenuator, and seat-to-aircraft mount.
Multiple awards are anticipated for CLIN 0001 which will require the
contractor to provide seven (7) seat samples to the Navy for assessment
and testing. During the testing phase of the program, the contractors
will be required to provide on-site technical support while their seats
are being tested. The seats must be delivered within 45 days after
contract award. There will be three (3) options on each contract to be
awarded at the discretion of the Government. Option I, will be for
forty-five (45) additional seats and will be awarded only to the one
contractor whose seat systems have been determined to be the best value
for the Government. Options II and III will each be for 1,156 seat
systems and will also be awarded to the one contractor whose seat
systems have been determined the best value for the Government. The
seat systems will be delivered to the Naval Air Warfare Center -
Aircraft Division, Warminster, PA or another Government chosen
facility, to be determined within 30 days after contract award. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by
