(912) 652-5400. This procurement is for the transport and disposal of
PCB-contaminated oil and equipment from J. Strom Thurmond Powerplant,
approximately 20 miles north of Augusta, Georgia on the Savannah River.
Work includes preparation of a Disposal Management Plan to be approved
prior to any transport or disposal. Work also includes preparation
(packaging, labeling, etc.) of the wastes for transport, disposal, and
coordination related to transport and disposal. Some of the wastes are
asbestos cement boards which have been spattered with PCB-contaminated
oil. It is the Government's intent to award one indefinite delivery
type contract as a result of this solicitation. The contract period
will be for one year, with one additional one year option. Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) for this project is 4953. This
solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the
''Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988'' (Public Law
