The Television-Audio Support Activity proposes to procure one (1) each dual channel, low power frequency, agile National Television Systems Committee (NTSC) television Multi-point Microwave Distribution Systems (MMDS). The system consists of a 4-channel wideband microwave antenna, 2-channel microwave combiner, 2 ea microwave transmitters, 2 ea modulators, 1 ea dual channel FM transmission system, encryption system, receiver/decoder, monitor equipment, equipment racks, and all cabling, connectors, adapters and mounting hardware necessary to effect the installation. A detailed equipment list will be provided in the solicitation. FOB Origin, Rota, Spain. The Government anticipates negotiating and entering into a contract on a sole source basis with Comex Worldwide Corporation, 1657 NW Avenue, Miami, FL 33126-1105, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. A comprehensive market survey for this requirement was conducted by the Government and no additional manufacturers were identified that could provide the equipment with the encryption system, including the scrambling device, and meet the installation and operational schedules. The solicitation package will be issued approximately fifteen (15) days after publication of this notice.
