Northwest National Laboratory is conducting a survey seeking to
identify potential licensees for the marketing, selling and
distribution of the genetic visualization software, GnomeView,
developed for the Department of Energy. GnomeView is a graphical user
interface that integrates and presents information pertaining to the
human genome that is assimilated from different databases.
Specifically, this interface accesses local abstractions of the Genome
Database (GDB), GenBank (DNA sequence database) and OMIM (Online
Mendelian Inheritance in Man) databases. The central methodology is the
use of pictorial representation of human genetic maps. Interested and
qualified firms should respond in writing, postmarked no later than
