this modification is to reflect the possibility of multiple awards
being made for the processing services for recovery of enriched uranium
scrap materials generated in DOE production and research and
development efforts which was originally published in the CBD on
November 22, 1995. The decision to award this work to one or more
qualified firms will not be made by the Department until after
evaluation of technical proposals. Also, in addition to the six scrap
categories identified in the previous CBD announcement, an optional
scrap category consisting of ''Other Metals, Oxides, Uranyl Nitrate
Solids and Solutions, and Other Miscellaneous Materials'' is being
added to the procurement for possible processing. The decision to
include this additional scrap category in the award(s) will also not be
made until after evaluation of technical proposals. Solicitations are
now tentatively scheduled for mailing in January, 1996, with contract
