(610)595-0505 This Solicitation is for two (2) Container Cranes to be
delivered and erected at Concord Naval Weapons Station, Concord, CA.
The solicitation may include an option for an additional crane to be
delivered and erected at the Naval Ordnance Center, Port Hadlock, WA.
The cranes shall be self-powered, rail-mounted, traveling gantry type
cranes with a hinged boom, single trolley, and designed for
''through-leg'' container handling at each side of the gantry. They
shall be heavy-duty, capable of high speeds, continuous duty, precise
control, safe operation, and requiring low maintenance. The water-side
of the crane shall be equipped with a hinged boom that may be raised
or lowered to provide clearance for the ship's superstructure. The
cranes shall be rated 40 Long-Ton, shore powered (diesel-electric for
Port Hadlock) and equipped with all motors, motor controls, emergency
and operating brakes, electrical protective devices, hoisting and
traveling machinery, hoisting ropes, fixed length and telescoping
spreaders, load beam, operator's cab, and machinery enclosures. A
Pre-Proposal Conference may be held at the Navy Crane Center, Lester,
PA, 15 days after initial issuance of the solicitation. All sources may
submit a proposal; this will be a Non-Set-Aside Solicitation. All
applicable Buy American and American Flag Shipping Clauses in FAR and
