58 -- DT-574 AND DT-574(A) HYDROPHONES FOR AN/BQQ-6 SYSTEM SOL N66604-96-R-0406 POC Contact Carol Gorman, Contracting Officer at (203) 440-6155 Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport Detachment New London plans a sole source acquisition from International Transducer Corporation of Santa Barbara, California for DT-574 and DT-574(a) hydrophones as spares for AN/BQQ-6 systems. This acquisition is sole source because ITC, the only manufacturer of this type of hydrophone, developed a process to bond polyethylene to ceramic which protects the integrity of the hydrophones in seawater. The Government requires initial delivery in the last quarter of 1996. The base year quantity is 2,584 units of DT-574 and 287 units of DT-574(A), the first option year quantity is 900 units of DT-574 and 100 units of DT-574(A), and the second option year quantity is 900 units of DT-574 and 100 units of DT-574(A).
