The Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department located at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for contractor support services for managerial, operational, and maintenance of the Auto Hobby Shop and Propane Refill Station located on base. These facilities are available for use by military members and authorized civilians. The services require certified automotive mechanics and automotive attendents to assist patrons of the hobby shop with automotive repairs, camper rentals, tool and equipment rentals, and operation of equipment. Automotive repairs consists of repairs on engines, brakes, transmissions, suspensions, steering, electrical, fuel and hydraulic assemblies, and towing services. The contractor shall provide this service utilizing Government furnished facilities, supplies, equipment, and tools. In addition, services are required beginning April through October for inspection of camper rentals. This inspection consists of ensuring campers are stocked with supplies and are roadworthy prior to rental and are returned in good condition. The period of performance is one base year with four one year options. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price contract be awarded. The standard industry code for this requirement is 7538.
