Gaessler, (407)882-6508, Additional Contact, Donna Nelson, (407)882-6510 It is the intent of the VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida to negotiate sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 with Grinnell Fire Protection Systems Company, 2700 North 18th Street, Hialeah, Florida 33016, manufacturer of automatic sprinkler equipment, for equipment inspection and preventive maintenance of the water based fire protection system. The inspection and preventive maintenance must be accomplished in such a manner that the warranty from the manufacturer is not voided. This is a sole source requirement and if no affirmative written response is received that a comparable source is available, a sole source contract will be negotiated. Responses indicating an interest in this acquisition must be received within fifteen (15) calendar days of publication of this notice. If no responses are received by January 16, 1995 negotiations will begin with Grinnnell Fire Protection System Company. Interested parties must submit descriptive literature with their response proving their capability to respond to the requirements. NOTE: All responses or requests for information must be in writing to the attention of the Contracting Officer, reference the RFP number and include the firm's name, point of contact, address and telephone number.
