HAZARDOUS MATERIAL AND WASTE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION, ALEXANDRIA, VA JANUARY 16-18, 1996 With the continuing process of ``down-sizing'' and ``right-sizing'' of the Dept. of Defense, there is a need to conduct an in depth review of the implementation of various environmental programs. This conference will outline the emerging picture from the services as they continue to review their programs and implement The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). It is clear that a major driver in this picture is the cost of obtaining and maintaining permits. As a result, a strategy for a more efficient implementation of RCRA is being formulated by DoD and the individual services. The new strategies will be covered during this conference. The Hazardous Material and Waste Management Conference is a must for anyone wanting to have a voice in formulating new strategies for RCRA implementation into the 21st century and for anyone interested in doing business with the Hazardous Material community.
