A -- VECTOR PRODUCT FORMAT (VPF) PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT (VPD) SOL DMA100-96-R-8020 DUE 012996 POC Mr. Eric Rauch, Contract Specialist, (301)227-5317 A Request for Proposal for the requirement to prototype digital cartographic data in the Vector Product Format (VPF) is scheduled for release on or about 15 January 1996. Presently, requirements exist for: (1) Tactical Oceanic Data, (TOD); (2) Littoral Warfare Data, (LWD); (3) Digital Topographic Data Minimum Exxential Dataset, (DTOP-MEDS); (4) Digital Flight Information Publication, (DFLIP); (5) VPF Symbology; and (6) a VPF Standard Study to identify changes required in existing VPF products to make them compliant with a new VPF Standard. Additional prototypes may be added by modification after award. The solicitation will contain options for: (1) Database Update; (2) Internet Access; and (3) Production and Extraction Database (PEDB) Support. A DoD ''SECRET'' facility clearance and personnel are required for this effort. Award will be made to the responsible offeror who provides the ''Best Value'' to the Government. All responsible U.S. firms are invited to respond to this notice. Firms which have responded to the Sources Sought notice published in PSA# 1414 on 21 August 1995, under solicitation number DMA800-95-R-8099, need not respond again as they are on the source list.
