Request for information concerning the potential Macroencapsulation of Radioactive Contaminated Hazardous Waste. Supplier's shall be able to macroencapsulate 85 gallon drums of mixed waste per requirements in 40 CFR 268.45. The Macroencapsulation container shall be able to hold up under the conditions present in the Hanford soil column including but not limited to loading, corrosion, etc. The Supplier's shall be able to provide it's own system of containment in performing the Macroencapsulation. The system shall be self contained and portable, with appropriate filtration systems. Final package must meet the definition of a DOT Type A container. All work will be performed on the Hanford Site. Supplier's are invited to submit a detailed summary that specifies the Macroencapsulation options it can provide and an estimated cost for it's services. Macroencapsulation options shall be in accordance with all Federal, State and local regulations.
