(317)306-3066 This is a market survey requesting information to satisfy
a requirement for a radar antenna assembly capable of providing RF
coverage in the I/J Band RF spectrum for the purpose of simulating many
types of radar systems. This item will be used in a US Navy airborne,
20 inch diameter podded, electronic countermeasure system. The Navy
intends to investigate availability of qualified sources that have a
commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) or non-developmental item (NDI) that
can be used in a cost effective manner. Potential vendors must have a
radar antenna assembly that meets the following criteria: a)
Interchangeable antennae capable of total coverage in the 7.7 - 9.6 GHz
and 14.2 - 17.0 Ghz bands with switchable or reconfigurable H/V
polarizations, b) Two-three channel monopulse and lobe-on-receive-only
are only a few of techniques desirable, c) Peak power handling of 100
kW minimum at 2.0:1 VSWR and d) Adaptable to multiple types of
gimbals, e) Side-lobe rejection and BIT injection are desirable.
Responding parties should provide a description of their proposed
hardware, identify its present utilization, status of production,
qualification, lead time, and production cost predicated upon an
initial procurement of 3-5 engineering models beginning in FY-98. Only
written responses will be accepted as this market survey is for
informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a
request for bids or proposals and is not to be construed as a
commitment by the government nor does the government intend to pay for
any expense incurred by any of the respondent to this market survey.
Interested sources should submit requested information to Naval Air
