Barry, (317)306-3066 This is a market survey requesting information to satisfy a requirement for a environmental control system. This item will be used in a US Navy airborne, 20 inch diameter podded, electronic countermeasure system. The Navy intends to investigate availability of qualified sources that have a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) or non-developmental item (NDI) that can be used in a cost effective manner. Potential vendors must have an assembly that meets the following criteria: a) Capable of providing both heating and cooling to commercial temperature range electronics, b) Operate fromthree phase, 115 Vac, 400 Hz primary power with less than1 kW power consumption, c) Operate over an altitude of sea level to 40,000 feet and d) Operate over the temperature range of -40C to +100 degrees C in a high vibration and shock environment including carrier take-off and landings. Responding parties should provide a description of theirproposed hardware, identify its present utilization, status of production, qualification, lead time, and production cost predicated upon an initial procurement of 3-5 engineeringmodels beginning in FY-98.
