Reffner, Contract Specialist, (716) 879-4250 Contractor shall provide all plant, labor, material, and equipment necessary for removal and off-site disposal of contaminated soil, sediments, liquids and debris in the service pits and sumps on site, and flourescent light fixtures with PCB containing ballast at the 22-acre J & J Castings Inc. site, Two Harbors, Lake County, MN. The soil contamination is categorized into three groups: (1) heavy metals (lead); (2) petroleum hydrocarbons (DRO's); and, (3) semivolatile organics (PAH's). All contaminated materials will be transported to permitted off- site treatment and/or disposal facilities. Exterior excavated areas will be backfilled with ''clean'' imported material, graded to ground level and planted with grass as required. All work will be conducted in compliance with applicable Federal, State and local environmental laws. Period of performance is One- hundred fifty (150) calendar days. SIC Code: 8744.
