consists of, but is not limited to the following: 1. Excavate and grade
site for new Medium-Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway
Alighment Indicator Lights (MALSR) threshold bar. 2. Install 18 light
reinforced concrete threshold bar complete. 3. Install all required
grounding and lightning protection complete with material, devices and
hardware. 4. Trench and install all required power and control cables.
5. Install all required handholes, light bases and dry wells. 6.
Install all required duct work and miscellaneous electrical supplies
and hardware. 7. Install MALSR runway threshold bar system and MALSR
threshold bar control equipment. Contractor shall be required to make
the system operational. 8. Cut through existing concrete access road to
install MALSR threshold bar and associated foundation and patch access
road as required. Estimated price range of project is between $25,000
and $100,000. This procurement is open to both large and small
businesses. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be

Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of
Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to surety against losses.
Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
