generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Clear,
grub, grade, excavate and fill sites for a Runway End Indentifier
Lights (REIL) and Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI) system. 2.
Install REIL and VASI systems equipment complete with power and
equipment racks, access road, foundations, surfacing materials, and
frangible connections as required. 3. Install all required grounding
systems complete with material, devices and hardware. 4. Trench and
install all required electrical power, signal and control equipment,
panelboard, disconnect switches, devices and cables as required. 5.
Contractor shall conduct all required tests and quality control
procedures to insure proper installation and operation of the REIL and
VASI systems. Price range of project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
This procurement is open to both large and small businesses. All

for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
