B -- NON-PERSONAL HYDRAULIC ENGINEERING SERVICES AS RELATED TO THE UNET/TNET UNSTEADY FLOW MODELS SOL DACW23-96-R-0007 DUE 021696 POC Contact Janet Hancks (309)794-5443 or Donald Grskovich, 312/886-3034 This procurement consists of Indefinite Delivery Contract for services, non-personal, for hydraulic engineering services within the Chicago District, US Army Corps of Engineers, Sol. No. DACW23-96-R-0007 due 02/16/96. It is anticipated onecontract will be awarded as a result of this announcement for a period of one year with two one-year option periods. Work will be accomplished by issuance of individual delivery orders under an Indefinite Delivery contract with a minimum of $2,000.00and a maximum of $100,000.00 in any one year period. Non-personal services are required for use and modification of two mathematical computer models previously developed for the Chicago District, the UNET/TNET unsteady flow models. The open channelflow model (UNET) is a variation of the generalized unsteady flow model developed by Dr. Robert Barkau. The second variation of the generalized computer model (called TNET) was developed to reproduce flow, stage and operational characteristics of thetunnel segments of the Chicago Underflow Plan (CUP) system. This development was initiated approximately six years ago. Assistance may be needed for other on-going UNET modeling efforts on numerous other watersheds within the District. TNET modelingefforts may be necessary for additional segments of the CUP system. The Chicago District intends to sole source contract with Dr. Robert L. Barkau in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. As the developer, Dr. Barkau possesses the unique qualification to makemodifications to these models. The SIC code for this solicitation is 7371. (0004)
