A.D. Palma, 334/639-6312. Professional Architect-Engineer Services are
required for an annual task order contract (ATOC) for general
engineering and related services at the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation
Training Center, Mobile, AL for a period of one (01) year. The maximum
amount of services to be performed during the term of the ATOC shall
not exceed $25,000. The majority of the task orders will be for small
job orders for construction work in the $5,000 to $10,000 price range.
The services are required to begin approximately March 1996. The
following evaluation criteria are applicable to one or more of the
factors included in note 24: (1) Previous consultant experience in
design or rehabilitation of institutional facilities; (2) Professional
capacity to accomplish the work as scheduled; (3) Professional
qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required
services; (4) Location of the firm in general area provided there is an
appropriate number of qualified firms therein for consideration; (5)
Design ability and understanding of the requirements of the various
projects to be assigned; (6) Emerging Small Business, provided there is
an appropriate number of qualified firms for consideration, see FAR
19.10; (7) Minorities and Women in all job classifications, considering
availability in the general area. Firms desiring consideration should
submit appropriate data as described in Note 24 to the address
indicated above no later than 4:00 PM on February 2, 1996. This is not
a Request for Proposal. This notice is for informational purposes for
Minority, Woman-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority,
woman-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
