The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Treadwell Corporation, Thomaston CT 06787. The proposed acquisition is for up to 100 mandays of Engineering Services and Support for the Electrolytic Oxygen Generators of the SSN 688 and Trident Class Submarines, with options for up to an additional 880 mandays of Engineering Services and Support for the Electrolytic Oxygen Generator designed and manufactured by Treadwell Corp. Treadwell Corp., is the designer, developer, and original equipment manufacturer of the Electrolytic Oxygen Generator, and as such is the only company with the technical expertise and facilities capable of providing the services required by the Navy.
