V -- AT SEA VERTICAL REPLENISHMENT SOL N62387-96-R-1307 DUE 021696 POC Contact Dan Owens, 202/685-5912/Contracting Officer James Fischer The Military Sealift Command requests offers for medium lift helicopters capable of providing cargo movement in a maritime environment . The requirement calls for a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) or non-developmental helicopter to provide Vertical Replenishment (VERTREP) services. The helicopter will operate from a Combat Logistics Force (CLF) ship while on deployment at sea. Only existing FAA approved helicopters will be considered. MSC is planning to compete a firm 30 to 45 day period with an optional period for an at-sea deployment of approximately 180 days, and a follow-on optional 30-45 day period with a optional at-sea period of approximately 180 days. Expected delivery date for firm period is 15 April - 1 May 1996 time frame. Expected first optional period to begin 2 June 1996.
