D -- DIGITAL IMAGES FOR MICROFILM SOL RFP96-5 DUE 031996 POC Helen S. Mathura, Contracting Officer, 202-707-8609. The Library of Congress (LC) has a requirement to digitize portions of its retrospective 35mm microfilm collection in order to permit the dissemination of its content online as a part of the National Digital Library Program. The microfilm of the historical collections which will be selected for scanning was produced by the LC Photoduplication Service between 1950-1994. The scanned images shall also be logically named and/or numbered and delivered on write-once CD-ROM disks. An indefinite quantity task order contract with a base and four (4) option year is anticipated. A preproposal conference shall be held on February 15, 1996.
