39 -- POSTAGE ASSESSMENT SYSTEM F/USPS MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER SOL 335660-96-A-0091. Due 021696. Contact Point, John A Trosky, 201/217-2212. Contractor to provide all labor, materials and training to install a postage assessment system at the USPS Material Distribution Center and the USPS Label Printing Center both of which are in Topeka, Kansas. The contractor will be required to integrate this system in to the existing storage and distribution framework at each site. The system shall consist of PAS software, bar code scanners, conveyors, weighing systems, data processing equipment and a manifesting system. Offerors will be required to submit both a business proposal and a technical proposal. Contractors will be evaluated on software reliability, project plans, integration, past performance, key personnel and overall design as well as price and price related factors. The contractor will have sixty days from the date of award to install both systems. There will be a mandatory conference held on January 30, 1996 @ 10:00 am at the USPS, MDC 500 SW Montara Parkway, Topeka, Kansas 66624-9995. Solicitation issuance will be on or about 1/16/96 with a closing date of 2/16/96.
